While the folks over at the Alessi Holster Company are known for producing a wide variety of rigs for a whole host of applications they have, for a long time, chosen to only offer one type of ankle holster.
The Alessi ankle holster is made of top grain russet leather with an inner lining of felt. It is designed to be worn on the inside of the leg opposite the shooters natural firing hand (so if you shoot right handed it will be on the inside of the left leg and vice-versa) and incorporates a 2” wide strap that secures with an adjustable Velcro fastening system.
Because each Alessi ankle holster is custom made to order, a larger variety of guns are supported. Obviously, common sense comes into play when ordering an ankle holster. Trying to carry a full-size Glock 17 or XDm .45 on your ankle is not practical and it may even pose a health risk where joint wear is concerned if worn every day for a long period of time. Stick to small guns however, and you should be fine.
