Blackhawk! HolstersThe story goes that when Navy SEAL Mike Noell was humping a overstuffed pack through an enemy minefield during Operation Desert Storm, the pack gave way and dumped all his gear on the ground, putting his life in harms way. He vowed to himself that if he ever got home alive and moved away from military life that he would start making gear for the military the way it should be built so that other service members wouldn't have to go through the same thing. Thus, upon his discharge from the Navy in 1993, the Blackhawk! tactical equipment company was born and the world of tactical holsters and equipment was born.

Today Blackhawk! Products sports three manufacturing facilities in Idaho, Montana, and North Carolina in addition to its main headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia. When Mike Noell was still in Navy SEAL boot camp (BUD/S) he became the first seaman awarded both the "Honor Man" and "Fire in the Gut" awards, both a testament to his professionalism and passion. Today those characteristics are still visible in the way he oversees the direction of the company, his eye still on the prize of creating the best military, law enforcement, and EMS gear that money can buy.
Blackhawk! currently makes a full lineup of tactical and duty holsters from space-age composites that are built to stand up to the toughest of conditions. While you won't find too many holsters for the concealed-carry shooter in mind, nobody can say that what they do specialize in isn't top-notch.
