The Check-Six belt holster was designed to meet the needs of those who use a full-size service pistol as a backup to a long gun such as a rifle or shotgun.
A radical forward cant would cause most holsters to fail on a number of levels but this belt holster, when worn far back directly over the hip as intended, brings the grip of the pistol well within reach when needed. The overall benefits, however, exists in the fact that the holster/gun combo does little to interfere with the proper employment of a primary weapon system.
The Check-Six is made of high-qualiy leather and has been subjected to the same rigorous testing process that has made Blackhawk's SERPA line of tactical holsters a household name amongst the shooting community.
When worn as prescribed, this belt holster works well to keep sharp edges of the gun away from the body, thus eliminating hot spots and friction points that can make a holster ineffective over the long run. The holster also features a tension screw that helps to keep the retention level properly adjusted to each individual shooter.
