The Serpa line of holsters by Blackhawk! is acknowledged worldwide as one of the best tactical holster systems available to military and Police S.W.A.T teams today.
Blackhawk's premier tactical holster line comes in various "levels" with each subsequent level coming equipped with more bells and whistles than the previous rendition. The Level 2 Serpa Tactical Holster is comprised of an unusually strong carbon-fiber composite material that is designed to take a lot of abuse in combat zones without skipping a beat.
All Serpa Tactical holsters come as a "system" which incorporates a drop-down Y-harness enabling the body of the holster itself to be strapped to the strong-side thigh. The harness attaches to the wearer's belt with a swivel setup that provides maximum flexibility whether running, walking, or crawling. The Level 2 version of the SERPA also features improved ventilation to the leg and a tension screw to adjust the amount of pressure needed to draw and present the weapon.
As with all the tactical holster designs of this line, the Level 2 features the one-touch "SERPA Lock" system which prevents the pistol secure until the index finger release button is depressed.
The Serpa Tactical Holster Level 2 is available in Black, Tan, Green, and Olive color schemes and comes in right or left-handed configurations. The holsters are currently only available for the following pistols: Beretta 92 and 96 models, full-size 1911-style pistols, most Glock models, the Smith & Wesson M&P series, and the Sig 220, 226, and 228. This pretty much rounds out the most popular service pistols, but revolver lovers are left out in the cold on this one.

My company produces technology security systems for various weapons contol platforms that the military uses. As a field tech, I’ve been dispatched to Iraq 4 times in the past 16 months.
On the second trip I took a grazing shot from an AK-47. My Army escort took care of the bad guy, but if had been 15 feet further away from me I would have been toast. I decided to carry a standard 9mm sidearm on every trip since. This is the holster of choice I was told by more than one person and it has held up well under rather harsh conditions. I love the SERPA release system and feel confident all day every day knowing that my pisotl isn’t going to end up on the floor boards of my vehicle while in a hot spot.
Crazy enough, the holster looks better for the wear than the pistol!
