The WRS is a highly developed design that makes up the core of both Blade Tech's tactical and duty holster lines. This hard-shell injection-molded polymer Weapon Retention System (WRS) comes in one of the widest assortment of color schemes and models exist for multiple belt sizes.
Many innovative features come standard with this duty holster, but the most notable is the spring loaded retention strap which the company refers to as a "hood". This retention strap is solid plastic and is rotated in place instead of snapped. It functions in similar manner, however, as most traditional thumb break retention straps. Simply push the activation lever in toward the body and the retention strap comes free and shoots forward, allowing the gun to be drawn instantly. Once reholstered, this device is simply rotate back into position and locks properly in place.
The WRS duty holster comes in a number of setup configurations. Each model is available for both right and left handed shooters. Beyond that the WRS comes in three common belt attachment configurations. The first is an adjustable 3" loop setup which can be adjusted to accommodate most duty belts. The second is a standard SR loop for belts of thinner width and the final setups features Blade-Tech's Tek-Lok clamp system.
The Tek-Lok holster has a polymer clamp that can be fastened and unfastened at east. This enables an officer to remove the rig and gun together in similar fashion as a paddle holster.
Color choices for the WRS duty holster include black, carbon fiber, green, olive, and gray. These holsters are only setup for duty pistols, no revolvers. Pistols that use flashlight attachments are supported in addition to the standard flashlight-free design.
