The company was founded in 2001 with the innovative "Locking Paddle" holster design. Other products have been added to the product lineup since then and now a full compliment of gun belts, magazine pouches, flashlight holders and more.

In the years since its inception, what was once a struggling company run out of a garage has grown to a full-scale business with dozens of employees who work tirelessly in the drafting room, production line, service and shipping departments, and now, a leather shop. Their holsters can be found both online and through an extensive network of dealers across the United States and Canada.

One claim to fame that Comp-Tac Holsters has is their "No B.S." guarantee. This warranty states that after purchasing a product from Comp-Tac, the shooter can wear and evaluate the holster for a full 30 days. If within that 30 day time frame the customer doesn't feel that the holster is right for them, they can return the holster to the company for a full refund...no questions asked.
