Duty Holster Reviews

Coming in a close second to concealed-carry hip holsters, the Duty Holster continues to be a high-volume seller. The most obvious reason is that the law enforcement community is the single largest group that carries their handguns on a daily basis. While a good duty holster and belt can last for years, eventually the wear out and have to be replaced. There's also a constant flow of new recruits going into both civilian and military police academies and most of these young officers-to-be have to buy their own gear.

The standard duty holster is pretty familiar to most people as they are the typical style most law enforcement and armed security personnel utilize on a daily basis when carrying their guns in uniform. These types of holsters tend to be large, feature a thumb-break safety or retention strap, and place the grip of the firearm slightly away from the body for easy access. They also designed to match up with an oversize duty belt that is often 2.5" wide ore more.
