The Fobus GLT Tactical Holster is the company's response to a series of request from customers across the globe to create a polymer holster that can support handguns that have integrated flashlight or laser sight attachments.
Most Fobus holsters share a common design which takes advantage of their patented trigger guard retention system. The nature of a rail system on a handgun prevented Fobus from using their tried-and-true design and they had to go back to the drawing board.
The resulting tactical holster utilizes a combination of a wrap-around strap and a muzzle stud to hold the gun securely in place, yet the way they are integrated still allow for a smooth and free draw when the gun must be presented. A forward cant design also enhances draw speed.
The GLT Tactical Holster is only available in black and is made of Fobus' proprietary injection-molded plastic. It comes in traditional Fobus paddle holster and belt holster setups for most guns. Roto Holster variants are available for the Glock 17, 22, and 31. Left handed models are available for most guns. A total of 86 variants are produced in the GLT Tactical Holster line.
