While most Galco holsters are fashioned from high grade leather, the company does produce a lesser known line of injection-molded polymer holsters that can compete head to head with Fobus, Uncle Mike's, and other well-known synthetic holster companies.
This dedicated line of holsters has been christened the Matrix Series. It consists of a number of polymer designs for the most common usages.
The M3X is a belt holster on the Galco Matrix lineup. It is composed of durable and lightweight injection-molded thermoplastic which is fastened together with corrosion free rivets. The belt holster is nearly maintenance free and is able to take a lot of abuse while protecting the finish of our handgun.
This belt holster is known to be comfortable while still maintaining a fast draw. All this in an easily concealable package that features a slight forward cant for easier concealment and draw speed. And speaking of speed, the front of this holster is cut low as well in an all-out effort to make this one of the fastest drawing polymer holsters on the market.
The amount of retention resistance is adjustable through the proper tweaking of two well-placed tension screws.
One of the features that Galco is proud of is the finish of the M3X belt holster. Instead of adopting a harsh tactical profile for the holster, the designers chose to have the final product assume the appearance and flow of a traditional hand crafted leather holster.
The holster can accommodate gun belts up to 1 & 3/4" in width but is only available for right handed shooters. Black is also the only color option available on the M3X. Unfortunately, the holster is not currently produced to work with revolvers leaving only automatic pistols supported.
