Kramer Holsters

Most shooters know that some of the best crafted holsters made come out of the Tacoma, Washington production facility of Kramer Holsters, but very few know the inspiring back story that the company was build upon.

The company was founded by Greg Kramer in 1985 but it's origins go back further than that by almost a decade. It was in 1976 that Greg found himself as an apprentice holster maker for DeSantis Holsters in Long Island, New York. This supervised training period continued for two years at which time events compelled Greg to move west to Washington and take a full time position with the United States Postal Service.

He continued making holsters on a small scale for a number of years, all the while polishing and honing his leather crafting technique. In 1983, as the suggestion of his wife, Greg decided to take the business to the next level and founded Kramer Holsters.

For a full five years he ran the company side-by-side with his Postal Service career. He would continue to develop new, innovative holster designs that would soon become legendary amongst shooting enthusiasts.

Word quickly spread of the quality and value of the various holsters that Kramer was producing, but it was the timely publication in various gun magazines in 1989 that brought his skills as a leather master to light.

Since then, Kramer Holsters has continued to develop more and better holsters while expanding the company. Greg quickly realized that he would not be able to keep up with demand on a timely basis if he produced each holster himself, so as the company expanded he trained holster craftsman himself to build out the various designs in the very way he did.

Today, the lineup of holsters produced by the company have evolved through the constant input of law enforcement and military operators worldwide. A visit to the Kramer Holsters website will reveal their claim that they produce the #1 Concealed Holster In The World. This would seem audacious except for the fact that a large number of their customers say just that.
