As you look at more and more shoulder holster designs you come to realize that there is a lot of similarity between them regardless of which company is producing them. Such is not the case with a shoulder rig from Kramer Holsters.

The first thing that is most noticeable is the fact that a Kramer shoulder holster has a harness made from suede leather. Suede is strong enough to hold both full-size gun and two spare magazines without issue. It breaks up the outline of the shoulder harness better than full-grain leather and it also acts as a natural non-slip surface to keep the holster positioned properly. The harness is fully adjustable and will fit most body types as well.

The shoulder holster itself is positioned horizontally, in a manner similar to other holster makers. The difference is that the positioning of the holster itself is slightly adjustable on a Kramer holster where on most others it is not. This allow the gun to be positioned completely horizontally or in a slight up-and-rearward angle. This second option is considered by many to conceal better than a true horizontal setup.

The light tan color of the holster has an advantage of not bleeding leather dye into clothing when first worn in hot weather. No shoulder holster is cheap but you don't want to have to buy five new shirts to go with it before it's properly broken in because your original shirts were stained.

The holsters are custom made to fit both pistols and revolvers of almost any size except for long-barreled hunting revolvers. The holster comes in single and double mag pouch variants and, for revolvers, can be fitted to accept either speed loaders or speed strips.

Kramer does not fit a thumb break retention strap to any of their products except for their shoulder holster lineup. Instead of using only stiffened leather, the craftsmen stitch a thin plastic reinforcement strip to the back of the retention strap in order to facilitate a clean break when the gun is drawn.

You can find the Kramer Shoulder Holster in both horsehide and cowhide leathers. The natural tan color is standard but the holster is also made in black for the most popular service pistols as well. All variations of this shoulder holster come with detachable belt ties which can be removed from the rig entirely if desired.
