Milt Sparks HolstersMilt Sparks Holsters, Inc. is a custom holster manufacturing company specializing in concealed-carry designs that have achieved wide acclaim among the shooting public. Based in Boise, Idaho and comprised of only seven employees as of 2009, the company is still considered small by most standards. Just ask anyone who has carried their gun in a Milt Sparks holster over the years and they'll tell you that the company's size has little to do with the quality of the product that it puts out.
Milt Sparks himself started producing holsters as far back as the 1960's. His work became very popular on the combat pistol shooting scene at that time. Instead of choosing to expand and ramp up production, a cautious Sparks was worried that such a move would impact the overall quality of his products and thus he committed to guiding the company in a direction that is reminiscent of a Madison Avenue boutique...but for shooters.
The Milt Sparks Holster Company does not utilize a traditional, modern production "line" in its manufacturing process where the holsters is passed from station to station where one worker performs a set number of sets in the production sequence. Instead, each holster is made from start to finish by a single craftsman. Implementing such an old-world approach to making 21st century holsters means that the quality is top-notch, but the time to produce is also lengthened considerably.

Certain Milt Sparks holster lines such as the Versa Max 2 and Watch Six have become a household name in some shooting circles with some going so far as to say that Milt Sparks IWB holsters are the most comfortable and effective designs available today. These most popular Milt Sparks holster models have been known to be on back order for months at a time, but those who own one often swear that they are worth the wait.
Having trained both a top-rate management team as well as master holster craftsmen, Milt Sparks removed himself from the production line in 1981. The team continues the tradition on building each holster one at a time, with a single craftsman completing the production of a single holster from start-to-finish.
