Currently, Uncle Mike's holsters produces both a Pro-Pak Vertical and a Pro-Pak Horizontal shoulder holster rigs. Here you'll find reviews of the vertical configuration.
The Pro-Pak Vertical is considered by many to be a bit more safety conscious than the alternative horizontal model. This extra security comes about from the fact that the muzzle of the gun when holstered is always pointing down towards the ground while the horizontal model is pointing rearward and is thus directed at others on a constant and consistent basis.
Those who feel better when wearing a shoulder holster that does not flag people while walking about usually go with this version. It's important to recognize that the horizontal model will typically be slightly faster on the draw for most shooters, so there is a trade-off for this extra level of mental ease.
Like it's horizontal counterpart, the Pro-Pak Vertical shoulder holster is made entirely of synthetic materials. Nylon for the holster and magazine pouch and neoprene for the elastic straps. The gun is secured in place by a retention strap and detachable belt clips are included to increase stability under stress.
Uncle Mike's Pro-Pak vertical shoulder holster is made for most pistols and revolvers and can be set up for either right handed or left handed shooters. Black is the only available color.
